Where do you perform?
As a Florida State Touring Company (for 15 years), we travel to over 20 Florida counties each season. FTF primarily performs in elementary schools throughout Miami-Dade and Broward County.

Our Fieldtrip Programs perform in theater venues all over South Florida and at the Tampa Theatre in Tampa. This program has grown and now serves areas that previously could not afford to bring theatre to them. (Downtown Ft. Lauderdale, Liberty City, Hialeah and South Dade, North Miami and downtown Tampa.)

How are the age recommendations for each play determined?
Age recommendations for each play are based on the text of the play. Our age recommendations are general; parents and teachers should make the final decision as to when their child is old enough to enjoy an FTF performance.

Can I redeem gift certificates or coupons online?
No. Discounts of any kind cannot be redeemed online. Please call our Office to make reservations. 305.284.8800

Fieldtrip Performances

What are the different theaters FTF will use for fieldtrips?
For our 2008-2009 Season, our fieldtrips will perform at the following locations:

  • Broward Main Library, Ft. Lauderdale
  • Dave and Mary Alper JCC, Kendal
  • Fairchild Tropical Botanic Gardens, Coral Gable
  • Florida Memorial University: Lou Rawls Performing Arts Center, Miami Gardens
  • Jungle Island, Miami
  • Miami Children’s Museum, Miami
  • Tampa Theatre, Tampa

Other theaters we perform at:

  • African- American Research Library, Ft. Lauderdale
  • Artsouth, Homestead
  • Florida International University North: Wolfe Theatre, North Miami

What are the times of fieldtrip performances?

  • Broward Fieldtrip Locations 10am and 11:30am
  • Dade Fieldtrip Locations 10am and 11:30am
  • Tampa Theatre performances 10:30am

How long are performances?
Our plays run straight for 45-60 minutes with no intermission.

How much are single tickets for fieldtrip performances?
All tickets (ages 1 to 101): $7.00
Tampa Performances: $5.50
All sales are final. We do not offer refunds.

When do I pay for my tickets?
For schools: Once FTF Fieldtrip contract is returned signed, full payment for number of students attending show is due the day of performance. If you require another invoice to insure payment on day of event, please call our office and we can provide that for you.

For individuals:
Tickets are available for sale on our website and at the door. Tickets must be purchased before attending performance.

What if my school makes out a check for more students than actually attended show?
After the show a refund check will be mailed to Sponsor. Refund will be issued within 30 days of performance date.

Do you offer Group Sales Discounts?
Yes. For every 10 (15 for Tampa) tickets purchased FTF will give you 1 Adult ticket for FREE.

Can I exchange my tickets for another performance of the same show?
Yes. FTF BUDDY Subscribers can exchange their tickets free of charge while single ticket buyers can exchange for a fee of $3 per ticket. Please note that all exchanges must be received by our office 24 hours prior to your original performance time and are subject to availability. There are no refunds. Please call our Office to exchange or for more information. Exchanges are not available through the web. 305.284.8800

Is there assigned seating for your fieldtrip performances?
No. All of our tickets are General Admission. However, we do attempt to Please arrive early. First come, first seated.

May I bring my infant to a play?
Most of our shows are recommended for children ages 4 and older, but infants are welcome.

Does FTF have intermissions during the plays?
No. Our plays run straight for 45-60 minutes.

When should we arrive?
For fieldtrip performances, the theater doors (to seat) will open 30 minutes prior to show time. Box office staff will be on site one hour prior to show time. Please plan to arrive early.

Can we bring bag lunches to eat after the performance?
Yes. A number of our locations have accommodations to have a picnic lunch after you see our shows. We suggest bringing blankets, as tables are not always guaranteed. Please call our office to make lunch arrangements prior to day of show. 305.284.8800.

Are all Fieldtrip theatres wheelchair accessible?
Yes. All FTF fieldtrip locations meet all the codes of the Americans with Disabilities Act.
