Theatre Factory presents educational workshops designed to build
self-esteem in students and promote an early interest in the performing
arts. Each workshop consists of at least two professional theatre artist
instructors working with up to twenty of your students for one hour. The
workshops cover a wide variety of theatre skills, introduce performance
techniques, and encourage confidence building in students. Topics of
workshops vary from Basic Acting, Vocal Techniques, Improvisation,
Beginning Scripts, Basics of Costume and Scenic Design, and even Circus
Skills (i.e. juggling, face painting, stilt-walking). Workshops can be
presented individually or as a series, lasting anywhere from six to
fifteen weeks. Sponsors can request any workshop, but final determination
is dependent upon location, facilities, and instructor availability. This
program has been a huge success, especially with “at-risk” students!
