Non-Equity | Paid | Touring Educational Theatre for Young Audiences

Fantasy Theatre Factory is casting  4 versatile performers for its upcoming production of The Wonderful Wizard of Oz, a fast, funny, and wildly theatrical reimagining of L. Frank Baum’s classic, created especially for family and school audiences.

Audition Date:

  • Thursday, February 19, 2026 | 2:30 PM – 6:30 PM

  • Callbacks (by invitation only): TBC

 

What to Prepare:

  • One 1-minute comedic monologue

  • Wear comfortable clothing suitable for movement

  • Bring a printed and digital copy of your headshot and resume

  • Callback sides may be provided.

Note: Virtual auditions will not be accepted.​​


CONTRACT DETAILS:​
  • Compensation:

    • $75-150 per show

    • $40 per rehearsal

  • Rehearsals:

    • 20–25 rehearsal days

    • Monday–Friday

    • 4-hour sessions between 10:00 AM–6:00 PM

    • Held at the Sandrell Rivers Theater in Miami, FL

  • Performances:​

    • Touring performances across Florida

    • Weekday and weekend bookings at various times

    • Advance calendar invites provided as dates are confirmed

PERFORMER EXPECTATIONS:

All performers must:

  • Be reliable, professional, and ensemble-minded

  • Play multiple roles within the production

  • Be comfortable with fast-paced, physical, character-driven storytelling

  • Assist with load-in, set-up, and strike of all technical elements (props, costumes, set, sound)

  • Apply their own basic stage makeup (foundation/base, blush, eyeliner minimum)

  • Be comfortable performing in schools, theaters, libraries, and non-traditional spaces

  • Engage directly and respectfully with children and family audiences

  • Have reliable local transportation (FTF touring van available for shared use)

Housing:
FTF does not provide local housing in South Florida. Performers must be based locally or able to commute reliably.

 

For out-of-region touring, FTF provides hotel accommodations, per diem, and transportation.
