Office Support Specialist (Part-Time)

Compensation: $16–$18 per hour (based on experience)
Schedule: Up to 29 hours per week; some evening and weekend availability required

About the Role

Fantasy Theatre Factory is seeking a detail-oriented, dependable Office Support Specialist to support daily administrative and front-of-house operations at the Sandrell Rivers Theater. This part-time position plays an important role in keeping the theater running smoothly and providing excellent customer service to artists, staff, and patrons.

The ideal candidate is organized, comfortable with computers, and able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced arts environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform accurate data entry and maintain organized digital and physical records

  • Track, organize, and reconcile concessions inventory

  • Assist with box office operations and basic ticketing inquiries

  • Answer phones and greet visitors at the theater

  • Upload and organize employee purchasing card receipts for bookkeeping support

  • Assist with background checks while maintaining confidentiality

  • Provide general administrative and front-of-house support as needed

Qualifications
  • Strong customer service and communication skills

  • High attention to detail and accuracy

  • Comfortable using email, cloud-based files, and basic spreadsheets

  • Reliable, punctual, and able to multitask

  • Discretion when handling confidential information

  • Theater, box office, or administrative experience preferred but not required

Summer Camp Teaching Artists

Fantasy Theatre Factory at the Sandrell Rivers Theater is hiring experienced and passionate Teaching Artists, Camp Counselors, and Creative Educators to lead summer programming across Miami-Dade County.

This is a freelance, contract-based opportunity to engage youth in high-quality arts education programs. Whether you're teaching theater, leading movement workshops, or facilitating creative play, we welcome professionals who are enthusiastic about inspiring children through the performing arts.

Program Details
  • Program Dates: June – August, 2026

  • Schedule: Monday through Friday, between 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM

  • Locations:

    • Sandrell Rivers Theater (Main Camp Site)

    • Multiple outreach sites across Miami-Dade County

Note: Full-day and half-day shifts will be assigned based on applicant experience and program needs.

Programs Include
  • FTF Theatre Arts Summer Camp (ages 8–12) at the Sandrell Rivers Theater

  • Outreach programs at local parks, community centers, and partner organizations

  • Inclusive arts programming for children and youth with special needs

Positions Available

We are hiring professionals with teaching experience in:

  • Acting and Improvisation

  • Dance / Movement (all styles welcome)

  • Music / Voice

  • Circus Arts / Physical Theater

Qualifications
  • Prior experience teaching or leading youth in an arts-based setting

  • Strong classroom management and communication skills

  • Energetic, creative, and dependable

  • Ability to collaborate with camp staff and adapt to different learning environments

  • Must be available weekdays between 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM

  • Must pass Level 2 background screening

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bilingual (Spanish or Creole)

  • Experience working with special needs populations

  • CPR/First Aid certification

Compensation
  • Starting at $20/hour (based on experience and role)

  • Freelance, contract-based position

  • Pay is issued biweekly

About the Opportunity

Fantasy Theatre Factory is revamping our technician team and seeking skilled, reliable theatre technicians for various freelance gigs at the Sandrell Rivers Theater. Whether you specialize in lighting, sound, projection, rigging, or general stage work, we want to connect with dedicated tech professionals for upcoming projects!

We are building a go-to roster of skilled techs for freelance, contract, and on-call gigs.

Areas Where We Need Technicians
  • Operations & Show Runs:

    • Running lights, sound, projections, or general stage operations for performances and events.

    • Assist with stage management and cue execution during productions.

  • Load-In, Load-Out, and Stagehand Work:

    • Setting up, striking, and moving scenery for productions and events.

    • Handling props, rigging, and specialty equipment setup.

    • Supporting guest artists and rental productions with their setup needs.

  • Lighting & Electrics:

    • Programming & operating lighting consoles (ETC Ion or similar preferred).

    • Hanging, focusing, and maintaining lighting instruments for productions.

    • Troubleshooting & repairing lighting fixtures, gels, gobos, and DMX systems.

  • Sound & Audio Engineering:

    • Running sound boards & live mixing for performances and events.

    • Setting up and managing microphones, monitors, playback systems.

    • Troubleshooting cables, wireless packs, and sound system issues.

  • Projection & AV Tech:

    • Operating and maintaining projectors & media servers.

    • Setting up video mapping & playback systems for events.

    • Troubleshooting AV issues, cabling, and system connections.

  • Technical Maintenance & Venue Upkeep:

    • Cleaning and maintaining lighting instrument lenses, projectors, and technical booths.

    • Inspecting and troubleshooting venue equipment (rigging, audio, lighting, projection).

    • Ensuring all backstage and tech booth areas are organized and safe.

Work Schedule & Availability:
  • Flexible scheduling – work is per gig/event/project.

  • Opportunities available as soon as possible.
